Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust has planted two new lime trees and a new hornbeam for Cockington Country Park, thanks to donations kindly received from the Big Noise Chorus and the Cockington Creative Makers.

We are planning to replace damaged and unsafe rose trellises with new trellises and roses.

As part of a restructure, Damian Offer will be leaving the Trust on 30th November 2022.

Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust (TCCT) has marked The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by planting an oak tree at Occombe Farm, Cockington Country Park and Maidencombe.

For 25 years the Green Flag Award has celebrated amazing spaces, shared best practice and raised standards, protecting parks for all. Only four parks have been in the scheme since the beginning, one of which is Cockington Country Park. It has won the award for 25 years in a row and is now being honoured with a special commemorative plaque to recognise this huge achievement.

The new Occombe Farm Shop showcases the very best produce the West Country has to offer. A huge 75% of its products have been sourced from across the region. There is a massive 6,000 product range including fresh and wholefoods, wines, spirits, beers and ciders, bakery and deli, and lifestyle and gifts.

More than 50 bags of rubbish, containing glass and plastic bottles, discarded food and fishing tackle have been cleared from Hope’s Nose in Torquay.

In the spirit of celebrating International Women’s Day and women in leadership, Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust (TCCT) is delighted to announce the appointment of Cath Cooke as General Manager for the new Occombe Development. Cath joins the TCCT team this week to head up the final stages of Occombe’s regeneration and lead the running of Occombe once it opens this summer.

Great news! Cockington Country Park has been awarded its 24th Green Flag! This is a massive achievement, especially in the face of the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, at a time when our staff and volunteers have dealt with challenges brought about by the park’s huge numbers of additional visitors.

Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust (TCCT) have reopened Occombe Farm and Occombe Farm Café. The Farm had remained closed throughout the summer whilst the Farm Café was extended and refurbished. This work marks the first step towards the greater regeneration of Occombe Farm.
