Canine Cockington

From canine First Aid, to dog behaviour and training, plus pop-up stalls for pups - join us at Cockington Visitor Centre for a series of different talks and events for you and your pet.

All events are free, with donations for the Cockington Green Heart Appeal collected on the day. Places are limited however, so booking is required.

'Behaviour in Dogs' with Andrew Hale    Sunday 25th February, 1.30pm

Learn about the latest, science led approach to dog behaviour.


'Learn to speak dog' with Andrew Hale   Sunday 11th March, 1.30pm

Body language and stress signals in dogs: learn to understand more about what your dogs I trying to communicate to you.

About the speaker:

Andrew Hale is a certified animal behaviourist who has worked with dogs for nearly 10 years. He is currently the behavioural advisor for RSPCA Little Valley and provides behavioural support for the Dogs Trust. Andrew is a team member of the International School of Canine Psychology.


Canine First Aid with John Mather MRCVS    Sunday 18th March, 1.30pm

Learn how to care for your pet in the event of an accident.

About the speaker:

John Mather is a practising vet and Director of Greenbay Vets, Torbay. He qualified from Cambridge University vet school in 2008 and has worked exclusively with pet animals since. John is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery.
