Education Visits: Occombe Farm

Occombe Farm is home to the Trust's farming activities. We also have a 2km nature trail which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Explore the different habitats and learn about the plants and animals that live there. Discover how the local landscape has changed over hundreds of years. Learn how to build a den and cook on your own fire.

Education activities can be run from our Cookery School or Yurt. We offer Ranger-led, fully resourced sessions, all linked to the English National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 & 2.

We can adapt our Ranger-led sessions according to your group's needs. Please contact us to discuss.

Sessions provide a fantastic opportunity to enhance your students’ classroom-based learning and include:

Cookery- Learn about healthy eating including pick and cook from our organic vegetable garden Walk the 2km nature trail and visit the bird hide. Learn about different habitats and the plants and animals that live there. Wartime activities- inlcuding trying out our anderson shelter
