DESCRIPTION:From 23rd March until 14th April. \nTake part in an egg-citing journey across some of the green spaces that we care for. \nExplore Occombe Farm\, Cockington Country Park and Berry Head National Nature Reserve to complete the challenge. \nFind the Eggs\nThere are 12 eggs hidden in total (3 at Cockington\, 3 at Berry Head and 6 at Occombe where admission charges apply). \nFollow the Clues\nEach egg has a clue inside (there’s a sliding door either on the left or the right side of each egg). Use these clues to find a bunny hiding nearby. SUMMARY:Cockington Christmas Caper
DESCRIPTION:The Cockington Christmas Caper has been organised since 2004 by local Christian Charity\, The Barnabas Sports Trust. \nThe 2023 race returns to Occombe Farm as our race HQ\, start and finish. Occombe Farm benefits from free car parking\, a wonderful cafe and lots for the family to do. \n£1 from every entry will be donated to the Torbay Coast and Country Trust\, a registered conservation charity that cares for over 1700 acres of Torbay’s most beautiful natural spaces\, including the land the race is run on. \nThe race will be approximately 8 1/2 miles. It is an off-road race on trails\, footpaths and cycle paths. SUMMARY:National Whale & Dolphin Watch 2023
DESCRIPTION:Help us collect data about whales\, dolphins and porpoises around the UK. \nWatches and surveys will be taking place across the country to create a ‘snapshot’ view of what can be seen in our UK coastal waters. The data collected during this event will enable the Sea Watch Foundation to develop an idea of the distribution of whales\, dolphins and porpoises around the UK. This event is a great opportunity for everyone to become involved in the research which goes into understanding and protecting these magnificent creatures. \nJoin us at Berry Head on the headland between 7am until 5pm from 31st July until 4th August. \nNo need to book – just turn up at the end of the headland (with binoculars if you have them). \nIt would be helpful if you could plan to participate in blocks of at least one hour.

Find them and unlock the answer to this simple question: Do Goats Lay Eggs? \nBubbles\, one of our resident goats\, is a bit muddled. She’s noticed lots of eggs on the farm\, all waiting to hatch. Many of her friends are sitting on them to.  All the eggs are keeping warm and snug; whether in a nest\, a hive or in some gooey jelly stuff. So why doesn’t she have an egg to look after too? Come and find out more! \nJoin in the fun! There are some new activities and Spring crafting sessions. A brand new Straw Bale Maze is waiting for play; for sliding\, climbing and hiding. And perhaps best of all\, we’re hoping there’ll be some brand new animal arrivals making an appearance too. \nCome & play! \nStandard admission applies. DESCRIPTION:Join Mike Langman at Hope’s Nose this autumn\, a popular birdwatching location to see both resident and migrating birds. Birds we will be looking out for include migrating thrushes and chats in the scrub\, rare seabirds to wintering sea ducks or divers in the sea\, and gulls\, waders and guillemots on the seashore\, rocks and islands.
