Pie and mash is a traditional working-class food, originating in London. Pie, mash and eel shops have been in London since the 19th century, and are still common in East and South London and in many parts of Kent and Essex. The shops may serve stewed or jellied eels. Whilst jellied eels have not made it onto our menu we are offering a great selection of traditional home-cooked pies for you to choose from, crammed with locally sourced produce; the ultimate comfort food!

All our pies will be accompanied with creamy mash or chunky chips, a selection of seasonal vegetables or mushy peas.

Please note: We open for supper at 6.45pm. Dinner is 7pm for 7.30pm. (this means the Cafe is closed between 4pm and 6.45pm for preparation).
