When to see:

Easiest to see when in flower during June to August, this tough plant only grows a few centimetres tall.

Where to see:

Look out for this low growing plant with its beautiful purple flowers over short areas of limestone grassland, particularly outside the North Fort and southern slope of the main headland.

Thyme’s strongly scented flower is a favoured source of nectar for bees and butterflies.
