From May, this butterfly can be seen throughout the summer.

Where to see:

In sunny grassland areas of the headland, particularly around thistles and knapweed. This large butterfly can be identified from its strong flight and pale buffy-orange colour wings with white and black spots.

Did you know?:

This butterfly migrates from North Africa, a journey of over 2000km.
