Harbour Porpoise

When to see:

These charming cetaceans can be seen off the main headland throughout the year. The best time to spot one is early on a winter’s morning when there is little boat traffic to disturb them.

Where to see:

Look off the end of the main headland for a small dorsal fin just showing out of the water as they feed on shoals of fish, they are only around one metre in length so are hard to spot.

Did you know?:

We regularly have sightings of a group of up to six Harbour Porpoise.
