Paignton beach cliffs

ROUNDHAM HEAD

The Trust cares for this headland overlooking Goodrington Sands in Paignton. It is a small coastal park bordered by sandstone cliffs, which are a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Offers stunning views out towards Brixham and across Torquay. The South West Coast Path also runs through this area too. Look out for our special ranger led Rock Pooling events!

SALTERN COVE, SUGARLOAF HILL AND WATERSIDE

Saltern Cove is Britain’s only designated underwater Local Nature Reserve – an important geological SSSI with high-quality marine life too. The Trust carries out educational visits, events and walks at the site. Overlooking Saltern Cove, Sugarloaf Hill offers stunning coastal views The South West Coast Path also runs through this site.

Scadson Woods

Scadson Woods is a pretty 13 acre woodland situated between Occombe and Cockington and can be explored via a network of pathways. It is brimming with wildlife including badgers, rabbits and even roe deer have been spotted here! A favourite spot for walks and free-riding.

THE HEARTWOODS

Occombe, Scadson and Cockington Valley Woods include areas of Ancient Semi-Natural Woodland and many interesting historical features as well as high quality habitats. They were designated Local Nature Reserves in 2004. The woodlands connect Occombe Farm and Cockington offering walking and cycling routes. Walking Routes & Cycling Trails.
