SANDY SHORE @ THE SEASHORE CENTRE

This session aims to educate the children on sandy shore life including shore birds. Children are divided into groups with a ranger or adult and given the opportunity to dig on the beach to find and examine sand and the variety of creatures living in it. Children are encouraged to examine the adaptations to the sandy shore environment, and then look at the feeding habits of shore birds through these creatures by playing our ‘Long Beak Short Beak' game.
