Facilities:
There is a small retail outlet within the centre and there are shops, cafe's, an amusement arcade and Quaywest Water Park situated very close.
The Seashore Interpretation Centre:
The Seashore Centre is a very welcoming interpretation centre with lots of interactive displays and tanks full of amazing creatures from the local area. It provides a wonderful indoor experience bringing the marine environment to life for free. There is disabled access and plenty of room to store bags and equipment while students are out in the field.
During bad weather the group will return to the centre where indoor activities will be arranged.
If you would like to look around the centre during your visit please inform the ranger when booking and a tour will be included in your visit.
Toilets: Full toilet facilities are available in the public toilet block that is directly opposite the centre. Please ensure you supervise all children in your care.
Meeting point if children get lost: Seashore Centre
Emergency Meeting Point: In front of public toilets
Meals/Picnics: There is a large park behind the centre with an enclosed area where dogs are prohibited which is ideal for picnics, or the beach is just a stone's throw away. Litter bins are available. The centre has a beautiful walled garden with two picnic tables. Unfortunately there are no water fountains so please ensure children bring a drink with their pack lunch. If the weather is not suitable for a picnic, lunch can be taken inside the centre.
During lunchtime, supervision of the children is the responsibility of the group leaders.
