Bake bread in the Occombe Bakery and learn about the history of bread. Small groups of students can learn how to bake bread with the Occombe Bakers in our organic bakery which supplies the Farm Shop and Café with fresh bread every day. You will learn about ingredients, how to mix dough, how to kneed dough, how to shape different types of rolls and loaves, proving and baking in our large bread oven. Children will get to take their bread home at the end of the day. We also have a traditional clay oven at the farm. If your group is larger than 15 we will run two or more activities and rotate the groups as the baker can only accommodate around 12-15 children at a time. This is a very popular activity with students.
