COCKINGTON - Craft Shops

Cockington Court Craft Studios

This impressive 17th century manor house overlooks the park and village and is now home to 10 craft-workers, all of whom, uniquely, can be seen demonstrating their skills as you tour the studios. The Glass-blowers, Blacksmith, Wood turner, Potter, Calligrapher and artist, Printmaker, Jeweller, Ark Gallery & Framing Studio and Joiner/Cabinet Maker are happy to talk about their craft and to take commissions.
We look forward to welcoming Angela Richardson in February, who will be showcasing her floral designs and textile art.

The grounds around the Court are also full of interest. Behind the house are the peaceful walled Rose Garden and Organic Kitchen Garden, the latter being a treasure-trove of useful tips and ideas on wildlife-friendly gardening and successful vegetable-growing. Walks and ancient paths lead from the Court all around the estate and these are well-signposted; leaflets are also available inside the manor house.

The Court is a popular venue for civil weddings, conferences and meetings

We currently have craft studios available for rent at Cockington Court - please contact Kate Foster on 01803 606035 for more details, or email kate@countryside-trust.org.uk
