Duke of Edinburgh Group repair pond
30th July 2010
A bronze Duke of Edinburgh students have started voluntary work on Berry Head, as part of the 'service' for their award. They have been getting stuck into re-fencing the pond in the heath. This has suffered from dogs running into it which damages the spawn and water quality as dogs have flea treaments in their coats that are harmful to wildlife. The group join us every fortnight and will be helping with various projects around the Brixham sites. The heath pond will be re-lined this winter when it is causes least disturbance to the pond life.
