Rockpooling Fun
13th June 2010
This week has seen lots of school groups enjoying Berry Head for field visits. They have been rockpooling at Shoalstone Beach learning about the fantastic marine life in Torbay. An enormous edible crab was caught by some pupils (with the help of their teacher!) from Watcombe Primary School - the shell was over 40cm wide! After some debate about its value for lunch it was carefully returned. The groups have also been studying the history of Berry Head and carrying out habitat work and pond dipping.
