Garden starting to blossom!
4th June 2010
This week we have been busy planting up our polytunnel which is open to visitors. We have a selection of salads, tomatoes, herbs, peppers and even some sweet potatoes growing!
We have also spent time labelling our plants, so when you take a wander in the garden you will be able to know what plants are growing! If you want more information on any of the plants, we also have an information area in the public polytunnel, along with a visitor book that you can write in to let us know what you think of the garden.
A green fingers event run by the education team created a number of homes for insects and lots of wonderful signs and decorated stones which are dotted around the garden- keep an eye out for them on your next visit!
Some of our bee-loving plants have started to flower this week, and we have seen lots of happy bees collecting pollen and nectar.
We hope to see you in the garden soon!
