Ruby Reds Are Back!
8th May 2010
The Trusts herd of Ruby Red Devon cows are back on Berry Head and Sharkham Point. They are grazing the grasslands and their dung is a valuable source of insects for our Greater Horeshoe Bats and for birds to feed on. Green winged orchids have started flowering on Berry Head, there are also lots of Early Purple Orchids out at the Grove and on the headland, the bluebells are finally flowering, and the meadows are full of buttercups.
