Openings and Signs of Summer!
20th March 2010
Despite the low cloud and rain, Fridays opening event was a great success, with nearly 200 people attending to celebrate the completion of the first phase of the 'On The Edge' project. The cafe and visitor centre were buzzing with excitement, the Ashtons put on a great selection of nibbles in the cafe, and people enjoyed the film and new facilities in the centre. A Napoleonic Association group of soldiers put on a great display of drilling and firing to mark the opening. Come and enjoy! After the event we enjoyed a quiet drink at the Berry Head hotel, and a swallow flew past - 'one swallow doesnt make a summer' as the saying goes but atleast its a sign the long winter is finaly over.
