Whether you're looking to develop forgotten skills with another of our popular masterclasses, or keen to sample some delicious local food and drink, or perhaps you'd like to explore Torbay's beautiful wildilfe - there's something for everone at Occombe Farm.

Letterboxing Trail for children
We've created a family activity around the farm - wildlife stamps are hidden along the Nature Trail in wooden boxes. Children have to follow clues to find the stamps and try to collect all ten. Pick up a sheet from the Farm Shop for 50p. Good hunting.

Audio Trail
You can follow an audio guide around the farm and nature trail. Pick up a handset from the Farm Shop. It's FREE with a refundable deposit.

Bread Making Masterclass
Saturday 19 July

A hands on day of practical breadmaking with artisan producer Emma Parkin from Emma's Bread.

Digital Photography Masterclass
Sunday 3 August
A hands-on day of learning how to use your digital camera for wildlife photography with local expert Mike Langman

Farmyard Rangers 1: Young Farmers

Help the rangers feed and look after the farmyard animals. Suitable for children 7 -12 years old. Adult supervision required.

Friday 8 August
Use nets to harmlessly catch meadow creatures including the Great Green Bush Cricket.

Sunday 10 August

Farmyard Rangers 2: Minibeasts Need Homes!
Monday 11 August
Get stuck in creating and constructing a minibeast manor. We will also have a go at sweep netting in our meadow and discovering some of the creatures which may move into the new manor!Suitable for children 7 – 12 years old. Adult supervision required.

Meet the Tractors
Friday 15 August
Come and see our vintage and modern tractors and take part in a kids craft activity making tractors. Trailer Rides around the farm.

Farm Rangers 3: Bugs & Birds
Monday 18 August
Discover and explore some hidden, secret places at Occombe with a ranger, taking part in pond dipping and bird watching. Binoculars, telescope and nets all provided.
Suitable for children 7- 12 years old. Adult supervision required.
